
BIOGRAPHY

Pardis Bakhtiari is an artist-scholar currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Fine Arts at Texas Tech University. In addition to her academic pursuits, she has taught art to undergraduates at TTU and children at Calcolor Academy and Bay Area Discovery Museum using play-based, project-based, and place-based strategies. Pardis holds certifications in Museum Science and Women's and Gender Studies, allowing her to bring a multidisciplinary perspective to her work. Her artistic practice and research delve into explorations of identity within the realm of post-humanism as they relate to art. Pardis has shared her scholarly work at conferences and in various publications, covering diverse topics such as visual culture, women's and gender studies, and art education. Additionally, her artwork has been exhibited in galleries both in the United States and Iran.
