There is no boundary between the body and the world. The body becomes a body through its relational processes. It is a process of becoming where one thing becomes another thing. I become an extension of nature and nature becomes an extension of my body. I return my body to the earth as a method of identifying myself, as well as the idea that I must perceive nature as a living, breathing body. Nature and body are alive, active, dynamic, and agentive participants in the world’s becoming. They coexist and are intertwined with one another. The dynamic material relationship between my body and nature deconstructs the Western dichotomies and can be considered as a way for both woman and nature to heal from the wounds inflicted by patriarchy’s systemic oppression. This entanglement of physical relational material gives a greater framework for bodies to add meaning to the world rather than being reduced to simply perception.
